CDNLION Description

CDNlion is a Czech CDN provider founded in 2013. The team is headquartered in Prague and has sales offices in the US, UK and South Korea.

Present on six continents and with 248 points-of-presence, the company has a global reach that is built on top of OnApp’s federated CDN platform. There are a few providers in the overview that are similar to CDNlion, that all use the OnApp infrastructure - these are CDN77, CDNify, CDNsun and CDN.net.

CDNlion supports online sign-up and customers can use a 7-day free trial to get acquainted with the service.

CDNlion offers both content push and pull, free shared SSL, and loadbalancing technology. As with most CDNs, their services integrates well with a variety of CMS systems such as Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, cPanel, W3 Total Cache and Magento.

COMCAST Description

In 2014, Comcast debuted their CDN service. With their own CDN in place, Comcast can deliver a better experience to their already existing consumer base. Unique in the CDN landscape, we can label Comcast a B2C CDN service provider.

As the ISP, cable owner and CDN provider, Comcast is able to offer an excellent SLA and potentially lower pricing, when compared to 3rd party CDN providers who do not own the network they operate on.

The Comcast CDN is regional and offers PoPs within the US only. The CDN service is therefore not suited for businesses with a global userbase, unless it is combined with other CDN providers in a multi-CDN setup. Warpcache is a multi-CDN provider that offers the Comcast CDN in combination with others.
