Hibernia Networks is a CDN provider and cable operator, with next generation submarine and terrestrial networks throughout North America, Europe and Asia. The company has over 200 points of presence (PoPs) in 22 locations across the globe, connected by over 27,000 kilometers of fiber.

Hibernia Networks is owned by Constellation Ventures Partners (now part of Highbridge Capital Management) and Columbia Ventures Corporation (CVC), and is a subsidiary of the latter.

The company provides Dynamic synchronous Transfer Mode (DTM), carrier-grade IP transit, dedicated Ethernet and wavelengths services, and is a true end-to-end service provider. The new cable provides a new low latency connection between major commercial centers in Europe and North America, and utilises the latest generation of optical technologies. Zayo Group and Microsoft were among the cable’s first customers.

Hibernia Networks was founded in 2003 and has since then acquired Atrato IP Networks, MediaXstream and the Media Connect assets from TeliaSonera. The CDN service of Hibernia was launched in 2014.
